Therapeutic Program Information 

Therapeutic classes, small group therapies and individual therapies address communication or feeding delays or disorders related to oral motor/feeding/sensory dysfunction, language deficits, poor social pragmatics skills, misarticulations, decreased motor coordination/planning, sensory regulation, decreased attention, transition difficulties among other areas requiring the services of a Speech-Language Pathologist. We offer individual therapy services, group, and a Black Bear Buddies Program. All of our therapeutic classes are taught by licensed Speech-Language Pathologists and offer a 1:2 teacher to student ratio. Family conferences are held every 12-15 weeks and entrance in to this program requires a three appointment, five hour Speech Language Evaluation.
Therapeutic Classes are led by a Speech Pathologist and have a 1:2 teacher to student ratio.


Classes include:


• TX Play: This class is for children 18-30 months

• Intro to Therapeutic Preschool: a two hour class beginning around 2.5 years of age dependant upon skills. 

• Therapeutic Preschool: Students enrolled are typically 3.5 years and up.
 
• Therapeutic Lunch Buddies: Three hour class focusing on social groups and feeding therapy.

• Kindergarten Prep: Three hour class designed to prepare children for their next step academically, transitioning into a private or public school for first grade. 

• Social Language: This two hour class focuses on social pragmatic skills in a small group context.

• Black Bear Buddies: This class, 45 minutes in length, pairs a child with clinical intervention needs is with a neuro-typical peer and both then, work with the Speech Pathologist, to support the therapeutic needs of the buddy.
 

• Individual Therapy: 1:1 session, 45 minutes. 

• Therapeutic Gym Play: session following individual speech therapy.

• Feeding/Sensory Motor Class: one hour small group feeding intervention.
