Ms. Sara has recently joined Black Bear Academy from Gainesville, Florida. She attended the University of Florida for her undergraduate studies and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology as she gained clinical experience at Shands Hospital in Behavioral therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy and Child-Directed Interaction Therapy for children diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. She has also worked at Baby Gator Child Development and Research Center with children ages six weeks to six years. Sara has experience in other academic and non-academic settings such as Camp Boggy Creek for children with serious illnesses, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of MidFlorida, the Boys and Girls Club of Alachua county, and as an English Teacher at Salehin, Taghva and Behesht Bilingual schools in Iran. Sara currently facilitates teaching, in the Therapeutic/Transition classroom on Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays and assists other Academic and Therapeutic classrooms on Monday and Wednesdays. She feels at Home at Black bear and is very excited to be here.
