Jihad Id-Deen was born and raised in New York City. He attended Oberlin College, in Ohio, where he received a degree in American History and African American Studies. He received his Masters, in General Childhood Education, at the Bank Street College: Graduate School of Education, in New York City. Jihad has worked with children of all ages during his tenure as an educator. Jihad is excited to be part of Black Bear!
