Jacqui joined Black Bear August 2008. Jacqui is the parent volunteer coordinator. She also is part of the JK transition program. She has been an assistant in the Kindergarten Prep classroom, 18-30 month and 2.5 classrooms. She has also lead 2.5 class as well as summer camp during the 2009-2010 school year. Prior to coming to Black Bear, Jacqui attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she graduated in May 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Consumer Community Education- Community Leadership Option. Jacqui chose this major as it enabled her to learn and work within the community to support, empower, and serve youth, adults and families. Jacqui specialized in child development and nutrition which allowed Jacqui to excel as a lead after-school teacher for three years at a safe haven program for children in Kindergarten to fifth grade. She completed an internship with Madison School Community Recreation in the spring of 2008. The summer of 2008, Jacqui worked as an inclusion staff and supported middle school youth with autism and enabled them attend summer camp. She recently moved to Chicago and is excited to see all the city has to offer. Jacqui is excited to be here at Black Bear and work with all the families, children, and staff.
