Get started today by following these three easy steps!

1. Arrange a tour of our program through Kari Vatch, reception, who will help you get the paperwork required to be completed prior to the tour being scheduled at Black Bear Academy. She can direct you to our website or email you the form directly. 2. Once completed we then can set up a tour for you to meet with the lead of your program to gather more information about us and us about you. It is informal but we ask that children do not attend the tour. If you would like we have play sessions that you can purchase for your child for $19.00 per hour with one of our teachers.

3. Once completed, along with Kari you will arrange a mandatory Developmental Assessment at the reception desk or later by phone after you have discussed the program with you family.

Developmental Assesments costs $150.00 and payment is due at the time of service. They are conducted by one of our Speech Language Pathologist and if the therapist feels your child is on the right developmental path that initial assesskment will be completed by your child’s classroom teacher in the first two weeks of school where your child’s roasdmap will be planned and a baseline summery will be provided to you.

If during the Developmenmtal Assesment the Speech Pathologist feels more information is required to determine the appropriate plan for your child, they will first discuss with team members and then follow up with you if they feel a full speech language evaluation is required. Full Evaluations cost $450.00 and are eligible for insurance reimbursement.
