Bevin joined Black Bear this winter and is assisting theraputic staff in the KP classroom, TX Play, Intro to TX and Jr. TPS. She is originally from Connecticut and graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications with a Minor in Dance. After graduating, Bevin worked in an Early Intervention Kindergarten Classroom as a Paraprofessional for children with Autism, Aspergers and Down Syndrome. During this time, she worked closely with a team of Speech and Language Pathologists, Behavioral Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Physical Therapists and was instructed on how to infuse the classroom with opportunities for development in these areas. In addition to classroom teaching, Bevin taught Dance and movement classes to children ages 3-16 and continued to TA her Collegiate Modern Dance Ensemble. Bevin loves working with children to help them realize their capabilities and is very excited to be joining the staff at Black Bear Academy.
