Bailey grew up in Northbrook, Illinois. She graduated from Indiana University, in May 2009, where she received a degree in Early Childhood Education. The School of Education, at Indiana University, nominated her as one of the top ten student teachers, out of 800, for the 2008-2009 school year. During her senior year she student taught in three different classrooms; pre-school (8 weeks), kindergarten (8 weeks), and first grade (16 weeks). In her three placements, she learned about developmentally appropriate practices, the best ways to communicate with children, and learning about the play based learning environment. Bailey is a lead teacher in the Language Enrichment program. She is thrilled to be a part of the Black Bear staff!
