Jessica is excited to begin her teaching career at Black Bear Academy! In May, she received her Bachelor’s of Science in Early Childhood Education and Exceptional Needs from Purdue University. During that time she had the opportunity to work with children ages 9 months to 9 years. During her senior year, Jessica was a student teacher in a kindergarten classroom in Lafayette, IN. During that time, Jessica had the opportunity to lead instruction and incorporate strategies which made learning more enjoyable for her students! When she wasn’t in the classroom, Jessica enjoyed being President of the Purdue Dance Team and a member of the Executive Board for her sorority.

Jessica spent this past summer teaching the 3s summer camp at Black Bear Academy with Miss Ashley. In the fall Jessica will be teaching the 3hr 2s class as well as extended day classes such as dance, art, and theater. Jessica is so excited to be a part of BBA and cannot wait to get started! In her free time, Jessica loves to run along the lake, read, and enjoy Chicago with her family and friends.
