Jessica is excited to begin her fourth year teaching at Black Bear Academy! She previously taught the 3 hr 2s, 3’s summer camp,  4’s and up summer camp, and 5’s and Alumni summer camp. She is looking forward to another fantastic year in the 3 hr 2s. Jessica also enjoys teaching extended day classes such as dance, theater, art, Science and so much more!

In 2016 Jessica received her Bachelor’s of Science in Early Childhood Education and Exceptional Needs from Purdue University. During that time she had the opportunity to work with children ages 9 months to 10 years. Throughout college she had the opportunity to lead instruction and incorporate various teaching styles to keep her students enthusiastic about learning! When Jessica wasn’t in the classroom, she enjoyed being a nanny, and coaching children’s dance camps. To continue her professional development, she completes webinars in areas of experiential learning, play-based learning, and classroom management.

In her free time Jessica loves to travel around the world and explore the city with friends and family. She loves to run lakeside, attend Cubs games, and try out new restaurants! Jessica is so excited to begin another year at Black Bear Academy.
